  2. kosher salt
  3. black pepper
  4. 2 tablespoons canola oil
  5. 1 tablespoon liquid smoke
  6. 4 garlic cloves minced
  7. 1/2 cup apple cider
  8. 2/3 cup ketchup
  9. 2/3 cup apple cider
  10. 1/2 cup honey
  11. 2 garlic cloves minced
  12. 5 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  13. 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  14. 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  15. 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  16. 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

  1. Season the pork all over with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the pork to the pan and sear until golden brown on all sides. Put the pork in your slow cooker and add the liquid smoke, garlic and apple cider. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours. The pork will easily shred with a fork!
  2. To make the BBQ sauce, combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce and let simmer for 45 minutes, until thickened. Let cool completely.
