  1. 300mls thin cream
  2. 250mls (1 cup) milk
  3. 3 egg yolks
  4. 80mls (1/3 cup) golden syrup

The instruction how to make Golden Syrup Custard

  1. Combine the cream and milk in a small saucepan and bring just to the boil over medium heat. Whisk the egg yolks and golden syrup in a medium mixing bowl until pale. Gradually stir in the hot milk. Transfer to a clean saucepan and stir constantly with a whisk over low heat for 10-15 minutes or until the custard thickens enough to coat the back of a wooden spoon (do not overheat). Remove from heat and strain into a clean jug or bowl. Serve immediately or cover the surface of the custard with plastic wrap to prevent a skin from forming and place in the fridge. Serve warm or chilled.
